Aeroplan Pricing Check: Every Air Canada YYZ/YUL to Quito (UIO) Flight We Found (Winter 2026–27)

Air Canada’s new Quito (UIO) service from Toronto (YYZ) and Montréal (YUL) is one of the most interesting new South America adds for Winter 2026–27.

Because Aeroplan prices Air Canada flights dynamically, we wanted to answer a simple question:

What are the points prices right now, across every flight currently loaded?

So we checked Aeroplan for every available date in the initial schedule window and logged the points required across:

  • Economy
  • Premium economy
  • Business class

From our check, there are some incredible redemption values available between Quito and Montreal in Business which probably won't last long.

The Aeroplan “typical” pricing band for YYZ/YUL to Quito

YYZ–UIO and YUL–UIO fall into Aeroplan’s:

  • Between North America and South America zones
  • 2,501–4,500 mile distance band

How to use this:

  • If you’re near the starting levels, that’s generally strong.
  • If you’re far above, you’ll want to compare the cash fare and consider alternate routings.

Notes:

  • Points below are shown in thousands (so 28.3 = 28,300 points).

  • Business: 48.4k to 147.2k (+ $104)

Are these good redemptions based on Aeroplan’s typical band?

YYZ ↔ UIO

Economy (strong outbound, average return)

  • YYZ → UIO at 28.3k–28.6k is below the published starting level for this band (30k). That’s excellent for a nonstop.
  • UIO → YYZ at 49.5k–62.9k is meaningfully higher. Not automatically bad, but you’ll want to compare against the cash fare, especially on the 60k+ dates.

Premium economy (great when it’s around 42k–45k, avoid the 300k+ spikes)

  • YYZ → UIO at ~42k is below the published starting level (45k). Very good.
  • UIO → YYZ has “trap door” pricing: ~44k looks strong, but it can jump to 300k+ when the lowest bucket disappears. If you want premium economy, book early when you see the low 40s.

Business (priced high both directions)

  • 109.8k outbound and 150.7k return are far above the published starting/median reference for this band (starting at 50k, median 50k).
  • These could still be “worth it” if cash business is extremely expensive, but from a pure Aeroplan-band perspective, this is not “sweet spot” pricing.

YUL ↔ UIO

Economy (fine outbound, unusually strong on Saturday returns)

  • YUL → UIO at ~41k–48k is above the 30k starting benchmark but not outrageous for peak holiday season travel.
  • UIO → YUL is where things get interesting: Saturday returns pricing at ~28.6k–29.2k is excellent (again, below the published starting level for the band).

Premium economy (generally reasonable)

  • YUL → UIO premium economy around 43k–44k is strong (near or below the 45k starting benchmark).
  • UIO → YUL premium economy is often 43.9k on many dates, which is also solid, but it rises on Saturdays (because those Saturday flights are “special” in this dataset, with low business pricing and different inventory behavior).

Business (Saturday UIO → YUL is an incredible deal)

  • YUL → UIO at ~107k–110k is expensive relative to the band benchmarks, similar to YYZ.
  • UIO → YUL on Saturdays at ~48.4k–48.9k is the best value in this entire dataset. It’s essentially at the band’s starting business level, on a brand-new long-haul route.
  • If you’re considering business class on this route, the Saturday UIO → YUL flights look like a book-now opportunity.

The key takeaway

If you’re trying to maximize value:

  • Best overall wins: YYZ → UIO in economy or premium economy (high-20s / low-40s), and UIO → YUL on Saturdays in business (high-40s).
  • Biggest risk: premium economy on UIO → YYZ, where low-40k pricing looks like it’s down to the last seat and can jump to 300k+.
