About the Air Canada Boeing 777-200LR
The Boeing 777-200LR is the ultra-long-range member of Air Canada's Boeing 777 fleet and remains one of the carrier's core long-haul widebodies. Air Canada's 2024 annual report lists six 777-200LR aircraft in service, each configured with 300 seats across Air Canada Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy.
Air Canada refreshed this subfleet with its modern Executive Pod Signature Class product and added a dedicated Premium Economy cabin, giving the 777-200LR the same broad cabin hierarchy found on the airline's flagship long-haul aircraft. The jet combines strong cargo capability with a dense 10-abreast Economy cabin, which is why it continues to appear on routes where range and capacity both matter.
For passengers, the aircraft offers fully lie-flat pods in the premium cabin, personal seatback entertainment throughout the aircraft, and a mix of bulkhead and exit-row Preferred Seats that can make a noticeable difference in Economy. The trade-off is that the 3-4-3 Economy layout is tighter than Air Canada's 787 layout, so row selection matters more on this aircraft than on some of the airline's newer widebodies.
