About the Air Canada Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is the smallest member of Air Canada's long-haul 787 fleet and carries 255 passengers across three cabins: Air Canada Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy. It uses the same overall premium products as the airline's larger Dreamliners, but in a shorter fuselage that gives the cabin a slightly more compact feel.
Compared with the Air Canada 787-9, the 787-8 keeps the same 2-3-2 Premium Economy and 3-3-3 Economy layouts while reducing the Business cabin to five rows and shortening both Economy sections. Premium Economy sits between the Business cabin and the forward Economy cabin, while Economy is split into forward and aft sections around the mid-cabin door and lavatory zone.
For passengers choosing seats, the main standouts are the bulkhead rows in Premium Economy and Economy, the first row of the aft Economy cabin after the exit area, and the final rows near the rear service area where traffic and noise are more noticeable.
