Amex Platinum Cards in Canada Will Add ALL Accor Gold Status Later in 2026

American Express and Accor have confirmed that eligible Consumer, Business, and Corporate Platinum cardmembers in Canada will be able to receive ALL Accor Gold status. The benefit is expected later in 2026, but enrolment is not live and an exact launch date has not been announced.

Amex Platinum Cards in Canada Will Add ALL Accor Gold Status Later in 2026

American Express and ALL Accor have confirmed that eligible Canadian Platinum cardmembers will be able to receive ALL Accor Gold status later in 2026.

The benefit is part of a new global partnership rolling out in phases across 12 markets, including Canada. It will apply to eligible Consumer, Business, and Corporate Platinum cardmembers.

The status benefit is not live as of July 23, 2026. American Express Canada has not yet added ALL Accor Gold to its public Platinum hotel-benefits page, and neither company has published a Canadian enrolment date or registration instructions.

What has been confirmed

Accor's July 22 announcement names Canada as one of the markets included in the partnership and says eligible Consumer, small-business, and Corporate Platinum cardmembers will be able to receive ALL Accor Gold status.

Rewards Canada reports that the Canadian benefit will become available later in 2026 for:

  • The Platinum Card from American Express
  • The Business Platinum Card from American Express
  • eligible Corporate Platinum cards

The announcement does not include the American Express Gold Rewards Card. The word Gold refers to the ALL Accor hotel status being granted, not the name of an eligible Amex card.

An exact launch date, enrolment process, and status-validity period have not been published for Canada. Cardmembers should wait for the benefit to appear in their Amex account or on the Canadian Platinum benefits page before trying to register.

ALL Accor Gold benefits

Gold is the third published tier in ALL Accor, above Classic and Silver and below Platinum and Diamond.

The partnership announcement summarizes the benefits as free Wi-Fi, welcome amenities, late checkout, complimentary room upgrades subject to availability, and bonus ALL Accor points. The full ALL Accor status rules add more detail and list the property and brand restrictions.

The exact Gold earning rates

ALL Accor awards Reward points by brand group. Gold members receive a 48% bonus compared with the program's Classic earn rate, but the number of points earned per EUR10 is not the same at every brand.

Participating brand groupGold earn rate per EUR10 in eligible spending
Standard participating brands37 Reward points
Mama Shelter, ibis, and ibis Styles18.5 Reward points
Mantra, Peppers, BreakFree, Art Series, Adagio, and Long Stay brands15 Reward points
Adagio Access, JO&JOE, greet, and ibis budget7.5 Reward points

ALL Accor Reward points have a fixed redemption scale of 1,000 points = EUR20. At a standard participating brand, 37 points per EUR10 represents EUR0.74 in future hotel discounts, or a 7.4% return before promotions.

The lower earn rates at several economy and extended-stay brands are important when comparing the status benefit across the portfolio.

Room-upgrade restrictions

Gold room upgrades are subject to availability at check-in and generally apply to the next room category.

Accor's published terms exclude villas, one-of-a-kind suites, speciality suites, and presidential suites. The benefit also does not apply at ibis, ibis Styles, Adagio Original, Adagio Access, Adagio Premium, JO&JOE, or hotels without different room types.

For Canadian Fairmont stays, the status can still be useful, but the published rules say a Gold upgrade does not apply to the Fairmont Gold Floor.

Gold also does not include the executive-lounge access, Suite Night Upgrades, or weekend breakfast benefit available at higher ALL Accor tiers. Those benefits should not be assumed when valuing the Amex benefit.

How this fits with the Amex–Accor transfer partnership

The Gold benefit is separate from the coming Membership Rewards transfer option.

Accor's Canadian transfer terms list a conversion of 1,000 Membership Rewards points to 500 ALL Accor Reward points, with a minimum transfer of 1,000 Membership Rewards points. The transfer partner is expected to launch in Canada in summer 2026, but it should not be treated as usable until it appears in Amex Canada's transfer flow.

See our Amex Canada–ALL Accor transfer-partner coverage for the complete ratio, minimum, transfer-time, and redemption details.

The two benefits can work together, but they do different things:

  • ALL Accor Gold provides on-property recognition and a higher earn rate.
  • Membership Rewards transfers add Reward points that can be used toward eligible ALL Accor redemptions.
  • Transferred Reward points do not count as Status points and do not move a member closer to Platinum.

Use for Canadian travellers

Accor's Canadian portfolio includes Fairmont properties as well as Sofitel, Novotel, MGallery, and other brands. The same status can also be used across participating hotels internationally, including Accor's larger footprint in Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and South America.

The benefit will be most useful for cardmembers who already stay with Accor and book eligible rates through an eligible channel. Room upgrades and early or late access remain subject to availability, so the 48% points bonus is the most predictable ongoing Gold benefit.

Before an eligible stay, cardmembers should:

  1. Wait for Amex Canada to publish the enrolment process.
  2. Create an ALL Accor account if they do not already have one.
  3. Check that their personal details match across both accounts once enrolment opens.
  4. Confirm that Gold status appears in the ALL account before the stay.
  5. Add the ALL number to an eligible direct booking.

Those steps may change when the Canadian terms are released. The final enrolment instructions should take precedence.

Bottom line

Eligible Canadian Consumer, Business, and Corporate Platinum cardmembers will be able to receive ALL Accor Gold status later in 2026.

The confirmed benefits include premium Wi-Fi, welcome amenities, early check-in or late checkout subject to availability, eligible room upgrades, guaranteed room availability with restrictions, and a 48% Reward-points bonus. At standard participating brands, Gold earns 37 Reward points per EUR10 in eligible spending.

The benefit is not yet available in Canada, and no exact activation date or enrolment process has been announced. Existing cardmembers should wait until Amex Canada adds ALL Accor to its Platinum benefits page or account enrolment flow.
