As of July 22, 2026, new Aeroplan reward reservations for Calm Air flights are booked directly through aircanada.com or by contacting Aeroplan at 1-800-361-5373. Calm Air says members can continue redeeming points for Calm Air flights, but new bookings and changes to those new bookings are no longer processed through Calm Air Reservations.
Bookings made before July 22, 2026 are different. Calm Air says questions and changes for those earlier reservations will continue to be handled by Calm Air Reservations.
What changed on July 22
The booking channel changed. The underlying Aeroplan redemption option did not disappear.

A partner booking fee applies
Air Canada says Aeroplan flight rewards that include travel on an airline other than Air Canada, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Rouge, or Landline are subject to a $39 CAD partner booking fee per ticket.
Because Calm Air is a partner airline, expect that fee to apply unless Air Canada displays something different at checkout.
Calling Aeroplan may add a separate fee
Aeroplan flight reward reservations can be made online without a booking fee. Air Canada's policy says Contact Centre bookings carry a non-refundable $30 CAD fee, even if the reservation cannot be completed online.
The cleanest first step is to search online at aircanada.com. If the itinerary does not show, calling Aeroplan may still be useful, but check the total cost before ticketing.
Calm Air cannot be combined with other airlines
Air Canada's current Flight Reward Policy says flights operated by Calm Air cannot be combined with flights operated by any other airline.

Calm Air redemptions are worth checking when the cash fare is high and the Aeroplan price is reasonable.
That can happen on regional and northern routes where fares can be materially higher than larger trunk routes between major Canadian cities. The value will depend on the exact city pair, date, taxes, and partner fee.
Use the same basic calculation you would use for any Aeroplan redemption:
